5/1/21 - "The Roots of a Broken Heart"
This was such a powerful piece for me internally, just about living through the beauty of being broken sometimes. It is okay to be hurting. What is damaging is not acknowledging it and hurting yourself more as a response. Being there for yourself and taking care of yourself is such a key ideal to pulling through pain and learning from it. That's why understand
5/2/21 - "Cosmosis"
I've always had a deep love for space. Space is full of the unknown, and the unknown is something that deeply fascinates me. I am so intrigued by the ideas of space and the world around us having so many things that could be discovered. This piece is to show my appreciation for space and all of the things we are not sure of that come with it.

5/3/21 - "Fractured Blue"
This piece is an abstract piece exploring emotions of melancholy. The blue tones portray the calm, sad yet bittersweet feelings a person can have, while the black line work shows the intensity of a person's being breaking apart from a simple feeling. I really enjoyed this one as it was absolutely fun to make and was able to show a glimpse of a feeling.

5/4/21 - "Red Woman Abstract"
This piece is an abstract piece exploring the idea of a simple paint design that accentuates the face and beauty within. I have always been self conscious about myself and my looks since I was a child, and it hasn't been until the past couple years that I have really began to see how absolutely beautiful I am on the inside and out. Body painting is a way for people (a
5/5/21 - "Wings of Freedom"
This piece is representing an interior freedom for myself. I have grown through several trials in my life that have resulted in this dropping of chains you could say. The more things you let go that hold you back the more free you will allow yourself to become. I've had several situations where I was taken advantage of, taken for granted, or not appreciated in ways I sh
5/6/21 - "Under the Umbrella Throwback"
This piece is a throwback that I did for The Artist's Umbrella at Under the Umbrella - Body Paint. The Artists Umbrella is such a wonderful organization for showcasing several forms of local artists and performers, along with their work. I met them through an affiliation with Opportunity Arts, an organization for promoting and setting up artists with the bus
5/7/21 - "Sky Blue"
I wanted to do a simple face paint based off of something I love, the sky. I always love looking at the sky. The sky is a living form of art I believe. You see several images, colors, and incredibly beautiful things just from looking up. Sometimes, you see some gloomy things too. I really enjoy the idea that the sky can set a feeling just by looking it it. I wanted to capture t
5/8/21 - "Appreciation of Home"
I grew up about 20-ish minutes south of Lansing most of my life. After I turned 18 I had ended up living in Lansing for a few years and had spent most of my time there through jobs, friends, and the places I visited. For the longest time, when I was younger, I always told myself I was gonna grow up one day and leave. Just leave everything behind because it felt like
5/9/21 - "Cosmic Body Paint - 2nd Ever"
This is a quick Throw Back to one of my most proud moments in Body Painting I was in college and working with some amazing people. This was the 2nd Body Paint I had ever done and it went phenomenally successful. I look at this painting today and look how far I have come but also how talented I was back then too. That along with working with amazing Models li
5/10/21 - "Fall Landscape"
Fall is one of my all time favorite seasons. The sky and the trees blossom with so many colors and shades. Pumpkins spike in popularity and people are brought together by holidays like Halloween and Thanksgiving. I was so excited to so this paint and am placing another throwback because it is one of my favorites. It was one of the first times working with Torrey Gray and
5/11/21 - "Hollow"
I always loved bones. I always loved the idea of structure they bring. We cannot stand upright without them. I really wanted to do this painting to show a darker side of what's inside of ourselves for keeping structure when sometimes we feel we can't. Bones are almost a form of armor, and can be made into several forms of tools, and have been a useful tool for centuries. I reall
5/12/21 - "Warm Rise"
I love colors. All colors. But I feel as if I tend to use a lot of cool colors. I wanted to use more warm colors for this paint. Warm colors signify things like passion, energy, and intensity. And who says water has to be blue? The way that this paint came out is one of my absolute favorites. I love landscapes and I love sunrises. This piece shows an upcoming. Not just for my
9/13/21 - "The Ace of Spades"
This Project.. The Aces Project.. has been SO.. SO HARD to keep on the down low.. This project is something that means a lot to me, along with the other artists and people that are all involved. This project is going to change the fine art industry in a way that has never been seen before. And I am SO READY for that. It is time that we start recognizing artists for al
5/13/21 - "The Contrast of The Ace of Spades"
This is the second Ace of Spades Paint that is seen in the video reveal from yesterday. With my brand (Contrasted Content) being based off of contrast, I wanted to show the lighter side of this new reveal. The Ace of Spades is very ornate. While pertaining to a darker theme, it also has a lighter elegant feel as well. This is why the Spade is the perfec
5/15/21 - "Honeycomb"
This paint was such a fun one! I love the geometric pattern of bee hives. I wanted to mess with this a little. I had so much fun actually painting the bees however. I put a lot of detail into the bees themselves. I always was scared of bees as a kid. I always thought they were out just to sting me. It wasn't til I got older and actually let bees land of me (LOL) that I realiz
5/16/21 - "Tranquility of Balance"
This piece was an interesting one. There are a lot of pieces I do where when I start, I really have no idea what I am going to paint. This was one of those paintings. And it turned out wonderfully. This piece settles with me a little different though. It makes me think of rest.. long rest. Along with the idea of what comes around goes around. If you go into life w
5/17/21 - "Lansing Logo"
I was so proud of this piece. I was invited to do a paint at a Lansing's Arts and Cultural Commission Meetings. I jumped on a zoom call and was able to meet so many wonderful faces in the Arts and Culture Community of Lansing, while painting the Lansing Logo on my chest. I loved doing this. I had so much fun showing appreciation for my hometown once again. Thank you to ever
5/18/21 - "Clarity"
This piece I had done in a very dark time in my life. I was in a very unhealthy situation. I had done this piece on 03/1/19 after going through inner feelings of turmoil. I didn't realize how unhealthy the situation was until later on. Around 3 months later I ended up freeing myself from this situation and moving forward with my life. I feel this piece subconsciously reflected a
5/19/21 - "Colors of Infatuation"
This paint.. ahh. I am going to give everyone a small little piece inside my heart/mind with this one. You know that feeling when you first meet someone and you just know that they are going to impact you in some way? That feeling where you think, "This could end really good or really bad, but I don't care because it feels perfect right now, in this moment."? Wher
5/20/21 - "The Power of Mid Michigan Arts - Color Clash"
Today is the day for the Premiere of: "The Power of Mid Michigan Arts."
I am so excited for this! I did this paint specifically for this premiere. I wanted to represent the idea of Contrast in a colorful way. So I decided to clash together warm and cold colors and make a landscape. On my face the Red and Blue come together in a solid line. Whe
5/21/21 - "Vincent Van Gogh - Wheat Field with Crows Recreation Body Paint"
I am kinda a little bit of an Art History Nerd. I sometimes like to do studies of the masters. In fact, I love doing that. Studying. Consuming all I can. Trying to learn their techniques, get inside of their brain. Figuring what concepts caused what art movements and why. This paint was a study trying to recreate Van Gogh's
5/22/21 - "The Tree"
One thing color combination that Dali used to use a lot in his work, was the color combination of blue and yellow. I LOVE this. I took that idea and blended just the right amount of green to bring the sky together. And the final product is something that I just love seeing. I love how dark the deep blue is in the sky and how it blends to the light tones of the green near the bo
5/23/21 - "Here Comes The Sunflowers"
This was such a FUN paint. Painting this one was just absolutely enjoyable. To make a long story short, I was told that someone very close to me (Hint Hint she's painted in the picture) loved sunflowers. I love sunflowers too. Sunflowers are a symbol of life, energy, and happiness. They are some of the most beautiful and tall flowers you will find. They can gro
5/24/21 - "Spooky Sides of Halloween”
This piece was done with one of my favorite artists and poets, Morgan Madden. This project was a little demonstration for halloween paints. Halloween is one of my all time favorite holidays. It is a holiday that perfectly shows how the darker sides of things are beneficial to life. The idea of halloween was originally about celebrating harvest, along with scari
5/25/21 - "Heart of Medusa"
**Sensitivity Warning**
The story of Medusa is a very powerful one. There are a few different versions of the story. In some Medusa is raped by Poseidon, in others she is seduced by Poseidon purely for revenge at Athena. No matter what version you choose, there is a consistent idea behind Medusa. That idea being, that to a point, Medusa was tossed into a situation and p
5/26/21 - "Tree of Life: The Heart of Gold"
Yesterday, I briefly talked about some of the things I had learned due to my loyalty and attachments towards people and things that really were not work my energy investment. This has been a big problem in my life as I am a very caring and empathetic person. There are many of us out there who have gone and go through the same types of things as I did/stil
5/27/21 - "Howl at the Moon"
An amazing friend of mine, Stephen Mccorey, loves wolves. I really don't blame him. I love them too. The wolf symbolically means loyalty, strong family ties, good communication, education, understanding, and intelligence. Wolves live in packs. They work together as a family, as a team, to survive. In order to do so, they have to be able to be devoted to each other, unde
5/28/21 - "Kiss Tribute - Gene Simmons - The Demon"
Music has always been a very big inspiration for me. Nothing makes me feel more creative then when I am listening to music.
To wrap up the Embodiment Project, I wanted to introduce a tribute to a band that growing up was a big role for me. KISS.
I always loved how KISS had experimented and succeeded with a new concepts in rock and roll, those c
